Philippine Travel Tip #1 – Check your Seasons

The Philippines as you see on the brochures can be a tropical paradise with beautiful warm sunny days and warm tropical nights. Although, if you have not check the months you may find yourself in the middle of a Typhoon season wishing you were safely back at home. Philippines weather does not have temperature extremities instead it has a wet and a dry season. Between the months of March till May, be sure to pack light weight clothing because this is their hot and dry season. During the months of June until October the weather is much different as this is their rainy season. It is still warm with the occasional sunny day but there is much more rain that you will be greeted with on your trip. For the best times to travel to the Philippines try looking at November through to February. Around these months the weather is cool but dry. It also helps to look at traveling between the months, December through to May which will help you to avoid the unexpected Typhoons that might arrive ruining your tropical getaway.

Walking in the streets of Manila

Philippines capital city Manila has been dubbed the texting capital of the world with all of their population carrying at least one to two cell phones on themselves! It is easy to pick up a cell phone sim card or a disposable cell phone when you are over there to use as you travel around the islands. Cell phones are able to work in nearly every area of the islands. So there is no need to go in search of a public phone. You can research into where to purchase your sim card or phone before you arrive so that you’re ready to pick this up as soon as you land. One of the most enjoyable and exciting things to do when in the Philippines is to join in on their fiesta season.
